Class Policies

 

Student placement is by age and level of expertise.  Students progress at different levels, and dancing with your “friends” may not always be what is best for you.  Please trust our judgment when it comes to the placement of your child.  Their best interest is our main concern.

 

Pre-School and Kindergarten Classes

 

We prefer dancers to have white tap and white ballet shoes. If you already have shoes, please do not go out and purchase more shoes. They will need white taps and ballet by the Dance Recital in May. 

 

Parents and special visitors are welcome to observe class through the window on the doors, however they are not allowed in the actual classroom unless invited for special observation.  Parent can choose to leave the studio while their child is in class, someone will be there to help them change shoes. 

 

For their safety, dancers will not be allowed to wait outside the studio for parents to pick them up.  Please come in and get your dancer.

 

Older Classes

 

Students are expected to come to class in appropriate dancewear.  Instructors must be able to see the dancer’s body lines in order to ensure correct alignment and prevent injury.  You may choose the style and color of leotards or dancewear.  If you have any questions, please check with your instructor.

 

Tuition and Fees 

 

A registration/recital fee of $50.00 per student or $60.00 per family is due upon registration.  This fee covers technical expenses of our recital as well as annual bookkeeping expenses.  This fee is non-refundable.  Each family receives 2 complementary tickets to their recital performance.  Additional tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each at the time of the recital.

 

Tuition is based on the total number of classes in the dance year.  This amount is divided into 9 equal payments and due by the 10th of each month.  Therefore tuition remains the same for each month of the year.  We observe the G.I.S.D. school calendar and are closed on school holidays with the exception of teacher workdays.

 

Tuition is considered late after the 10th of the month and a $15.00 service fee will be added to the tuition.  If a student withdraws from class, we must be notified or you will continue to be charged for tuition

 

The tuition for classes that are 45 minutes to 1 hour is $55.00 per month.  Additional family members receive a $5.00 per class discount.  Additional dance classes taken by the same student will be at half tuition.  Private lessons are for advanced students only and are $90.00 pre month for 30 minute per week.  Tuition is not pro-rated for absences but classes are encouraged to be made up.  Check with your instructor for times

 

A costume deposit fee of $35.00 per student is due on November 1st.  Once costumes have been ordered, you are responsible for the balance due.  If your plans do not include participating in the year end recital, please notify our front desk before December 1st.
