A letter from our new Director, Sadia Ahmed Johnson:
Dear PAS students, parents, alumni and friends,
Words cannot describe how thrilled I am to be the Owner and Director of Performing Arts Studio Georgetown. I am originally from Georgetown (where I got my start as a dancer), and I believe there is no other community with the same mix of friendliness & openness, support & caring, and talent & potential as Georgetown. The community has given so much to me, and I am looking forward to giving back.
We have an incredible faculty, who are all as excited as I am about the upcoming year. Our vision builds on the 30-year tradition of PAS and is a simple one: for all of our students to find their inner-dancer and to walk away from every class feeling empowered and energized about their infinite potential as dancers and individuals. We have a great year in store; please browse this interim website for initial information.
Of course, a special thank you to Lisa Holmstrom, the founder of PAS. The fine arts in Georgetown would not be what they are today without her, and I look forward to doing everything I can to continue the incredible tradition and legacy she has built for all of us at PAS.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any of the faculty. We are one family, and I look forward to working with all of you this year.
