“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” ... ConfuciusLisa Holmstrom grew up in a musical family as the daughter of “Big Band Leader,” Don Reid and vocalist Gwen Reid. Lisa
has years of dance, vocal, and performing experience. She began her
training at the age of 2 in Memphis, Tennessee, where she studied under
Burney Lyons and Otis Smith. Her education is ongoing and constant. In order to keep techniques polished and “stay ahead” of the ever-changing world of dance. Lisa
studies every year with such greats as Joe Tremaine, Jerry Rose,
Thommie Walsh, Al Gilbert, Darrell Retter, Janice Barringer, David
Howard, Bill DeRico, Charlie McGowan, Michael Rooney, Kenneth Green, and
many other professional dancers. Lisa is a graduate of
Memphis State University which she attended on a four year twirling
scholarship. She was a member of the MSU twirlers and the World Champion
MSU PomPom Girls. She was active in pageants in Memphis and was a finalist in the Miss Tennessee Pageant. She has worked with the Miss Georgetown Pageant as a choreographer and consultant. Lisa also worked as a choreographer on the following shows for Austin's Zachary Scott Theatre: High School Musical (Austin Circle of Theatres choreography award nomination) , Hair, Ain't
Misbehavin (B. Iden Payne choreography award nomination), Jelly's Last
Jam,Love! Valour! Compassion! and Ruthless the Musical. She
has performed for Zachary Scott as one of the “Beehive Girls” in the
Rockin’ Christmas Party at the Paramount Theater in Austin. In addition to dance, Lisa is a professional singer, songwriter, and music teacher. She is active in her church and serves the community as a volunteer for community events. She taught music to grades Pre-K through 8th at Zion Lutheran School in Walburg. She was chosen as an Outstanding Young Woman of America and is very proud of her National Champion Dance Troupe. Most of all she loves working with children and is inspired by their growth and development.

Diane Andersen began her dance training at the age of four. She was selected to begin pointe training (toe shoes) at the age of nine, and continued with private and class lessons through college. In high school, Diane began assisting classes. During college, she took over a studio and taught four nights per week.. Upon graduation with a BA in education and a minor in psychology, Diane began teaching emotional disabilities at the high school level and starting her graduate work. She formed and coached the Pepsteppers danceline team. Diane married in 1983, and she and her husband moved several times over the next ten years, including Texas, New York, and Minnesota. She took classes as she was able during this time as well as teaching Rhythmic Aerobics classes. In the Twin Cities, Diane began formally teaching dance classes again. She also took ballet classes in Minneapolis, studied with members of the Flying Foot Forum, and danced as a member of the award-winning Skykickers danceline team. Diane continues her dance education at local and national conventions. Diane has danced in the Nutcracker ballet, choreographed local theater productions, and danced between acts at the Miss Iowa pageants. Diane loves the past 15 years of teaching at PAS and hopes to continue for many more years. Diane takes great pride in being a positive role model for the children she teaches and hopes to bring a love of dance to every child she encounters. |
